Mount St. Mary College recently honored the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and Joseph and Andrea Kirchhoff at the college’s third annual Gala Reception.

More than 220 guests attended the event, held at the Kaplan Family Mathematics, Science and Technology Center in Newburgh.

Honorees received the Joseph A. Bonura Award for Leadership Excellence.

Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is based in Poughkeepsie with branches throughout the region. “As a company, we believe in doing the right thing all of the time,” said Mary Madden, president and CEO. “Leadership is about committing and following through on promises.”

Joseph and Andrea Kirchhoff have been married for 27 years. Around the time of their marriage, he founded Kirchhoff Companies. He founded Kirchhoff Construction Management in 1991. About three years ago, Kirchhoff Construction merged with Consigli Construction, forming Kirchhoff-Consigli Construction, which will manage the college’s Dominican Center project.

“It’s a real honor for us to receive this award,” Joseph Kirchhoff said.
