Outside Operations Attendant

The primary goal of the Outside Operations Attendant is to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all members and guests utilizing the club’s golf facilities. This position plays an important role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of the golf operation by preparing carts, assisting golfers, maintaining the driving range, and ensuring all outdoor golf areas remain clean, organized, and professional.

Outside Operations Attendants must be punctual, attentive, proactive, and demonstrate a high level of customer service. Team members must maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times and represent the club with courtesy and professionalism. A friendly smile and willingness to assist members and guests are essential to success in this role.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Functions:

  • Stage and prepare golf carts for daily play
  • Ensure each golf cart is clean and stocked with scorecard, pencil, and a functional GPS unit before staging
  • Place golf bags on carts for players expected to play that morning, including tournaments, leagues, and special events
  • Assist players with their golf bags upon arrival in the parking lot
  • Wash and clean all players’ clubs brought to the bag storage area
  • Wash and maintain driving range golf balls as needed • Make periodic trips to the driving range and practice bunker to collect range baskets and leftover golf balls
  • Restage the driving range and practice areas to maintain a clean and professional environment • Monitor and maintain appropriate range ball levels throughout the day
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart storage area
  • Provide directions to club facilities and assist members and guests with general questions
  • Take pride in representing the club by delivering prompt and professional service
  • Assist with tournament and event preparation as needed
  • During closing shifts, ensure all golf carts are properly plugged in and charging

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, humidity, and rain
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and move golf bags weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to move quickly around the golf operations area throughout the shift

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous golf course, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus but not required

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Schedule will include primarily mornings during the week, but can include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs

Additional Notes:

  • In addition to the above, the day-to-day responsibilities of an Outside Operations Attendant may be modified or expanded by management as operational needs dictate.

Salary Range:

  • $16 per hour plus tips
