JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Execute all tasks in accordance with state and local safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold the highest standards of food safety.
  • Ensure that all menu items are prepared and served at their peak quality, delighting our guests with every bite.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to meticulously organize and execute the service of all menu items, maintaining consistency and excellence.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising the performance of line cooks to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrate creativity in utilizing seasonally appropriate, locally sourced ingredients to craft innovative and delectable dishes.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop daily and weekly specials that align with our culinary concept guidelines.
  • Expertly prepare all banquet packages and catered events, delivering unforgettable dining experiences.
  • Implement Kitchen Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to uphold food safety and sanitation requirements at all times.
  • Monitor the personal hygiene and adherence to uniform guidelines of kitchen staff, ensuring a clean and professional environment.
  • Provide comprehensive training to kitchen staff on menu items and station management to uphold consistency and quality.
  • Conduct routine line checks of all stations to maintain quality standards and minimize loss.
  • Assume responsibility for opening and closing the kitchen in accordance with restaurant standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in volume catering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a country club setting.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 55 hours weekly, including holidays, with hours subject to variation based on seasonal business volume.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and work long hours standing.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with the management team regarding guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in executing standard knife cuts and strong working knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
  • Preferred: Degree in Culinary Arts and previous leadership experience in a full-service restaurant.

Salary Range

  • $24.00 – $25.00 per hour
